Developing this analysis, the paper\nfurther compares and classifies differences between accumulation regimes\nand modes of regulation in Asian economies. In addition, comparing Japan\nwith the rest of Asia, the paper also refers on the decline of the Japanese\neconomy and the emergence of neoliberalism in Japan. In conclusion, the\nauthor discusses the ongoing metamorphosis of current regulation theory\nand its relationship with development in economic geography.\nAfter the crisis of Fordism, economic geography based on regulation\ntheory, previously encompassed discussions of the impact of the Just-in-\nTime system and the flexible production system on location patterns such\nas agglomeration and dispersion.
