However, many villagers’ committees still remain, even there are no longer villagers. In China, urban areas and rural areas are separated administratively, so are the urban residents and rural residents as well as their selfgovernment organizations, the urban residents’ committees and the villagers’ committees. However, in some newly developed urban areas, the urban residents’ committees and the villagers’ committees are co-existed. This paper aims to understand the actual conditions of the villagers’ committees that remain through the urban development. By taking S villagers’ committee in Nanchang as a case study, the differences between two different kinds of committees’ roles were examined, as well as the reasons of their co-existence. As a result, the duties of S villagers’ committee changed a lot since the land expropriation. And it is playing an important role in the process of villagers’ transition to urban residents. The big differences of duties that irreplaceable between two committees are the function of managing the communal property and the members of committee, which are the reasons of their co-existence.}, pages = {15--27}, title = {中国の都市化地域における村民委員会の実態 : 江西省南昌市紅谷灘新区の事例}, volume = {61}, year = {2020}, yomi = {オオシマ, カズツグ} }
