First, I examined the results of the thematic\nanalysis of Twitter discourse with an analytical viewpoint of native-speakerism,\nillustrating the underlying assumptions and inconsistencies in attitudes towards\nEnglish learning. Then, I applied van Dijk’ s (2004) analytical framework and\nexplored the recreation of the power relationship between ‘native speakers’\nand ‘non-native speakers’ in the social media discourse. This study argues that\nhegemonic ideology is recreated by ‘ourselves’ by unintentionally applying\ninverted ‘ideological squares’ . This study focuses on Japanese society as a\ncase study of learning English as a foreign language, revealing a self-defeating\nattitude towards ‘native-speakers’ , which potentially reinforces their own\nsubjugation, in turn having implications for future studies in global contexts.","subitem_description_type":"Abstract"}]},"item_10002_publisher_8":{"attribute_name":"出版者","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_publisher":"桃山学院大学総合研究所"}]},"item_10002_source_id_11":{"attribute_name":"書誌レコードID","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_source_identifier":"AA12704345","subitem_source_identifier_type":"NCID"}]},"item_10002_source_id_9":{"attribute_name":"ISSN","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_source_identifier":"21889031","subitem_source_identifier_type":"ISSN"}]},"item_10002_version_type_20":{"attribute_name":"著者版フラグ","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_version_resource":"http://purl.org/coar/version/c_970fb48d4fbd8a85","subitem_version_type":"VoR"}]},"item_creator":{"attribute_name":"著者","attribute_type":"creator","attribute_value_mlt":[{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"釣井, 千恵","creatorNameLang":"ja"},{"creatorName":"ツリイ, チエ","creatorNameLang":"ja-Kana"}],"nameIdentifiers":[{"nameIdentifier":"398","nameIdentifierScheme":"WEKO"}]},{"creatorNames":[{"creatorName":"TURII, Chie","creatorNameLang":"en"}],"nameIdentifiers":[{"nameIdentifier":"12831","nameIdentifierScheme":"WEKO"}]}]},"item_files":{"attribute_name":"ファイル情報","attribute_type":"file","attribute_value_mlt":[{"accessrole":"open_date","date":[{"dateType":"Available","dateValue":"2022-02-03"}],"displaytype":"detail","filename":"本文01_TSURII Chie.pdf","filesize":[{"value":"227.7 kB"}],"format":"application/pdf","licensetype":"license_note","mimetype":"application/pdf","url":{"label":"釣井 千恵","url":"https://stars.repo.nii.ac.jp/record/9484/files/本文01_TSURII Chie.pdf"},"version_id":"9fb510de-5af8-46a0-84f4-fe0fcc3cd928"}]},"item_keyword":{"attribute_name":"キーワード","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_subject":"ideological nature of English (education)","subitem_subject_language":"en","subitem_subject_scheme":"Other"},{"subitem_subject":"native-speakerism in ELT","subitem_subject_language":"en","subitem_subject_scheme":"Other"},{"subitem_subject":"qualitative research","subitem_subject_language":"en","subitem_subject_scheme":"Other"},{"subitem_subject":"social media discourse","subitem_subject_language":"en","subitem_subject_scheme":"Other"},{"subitem_subject":"self-defeating attitude towards ‘native-speakers’","subitem_subject_language":"en","subitem_subject_scheme":"Other"}]},"item_language":{"attribute_name":"言語","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_language":"eng"}]},"item_resource_type":{"attribute_name":"資源タイプ","attribute_value_mlt":[{"resourcetype":"departmental bulletin paper","resourceuri":"http://purl.org/coar/resource_type/c_6501"}]},"item_title":"Twitter Posts on English Language Learning in Japan : Attitudes Towards Neitibu (‘Native Speakers’)","item_titles":{"attribute_name":"タイトル","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_title":"Twitter Posts on English Language Learning in Japan : Attitudes Towards Neitibu (‘Native Speakers’)","subitem_title_language":"ja"},{"subitem_title":"Twitter Posts on English Language Learning in Japan : Attitudes Towards Neitibu (‘Native Speakers’)","subitem_title_language":"en"}]},"item_type_id":"10002","owner":"13","path":["1864"],"pubdate":{"attribute_name":"公開日","attribute_value":"2022-02-03"},"publish_date":"2022-02-03","publish_status":"0","recid":"9484","relation_version_is_last":true,"title":["Twitter Posts on English Language Learning in Japan : Attitudes Towards Neitibu (‘Native Speakers’)"],"weko_creator_id":"13","weko_shared_id":-1},"updated":"2023-06-21T03:37:28.146590+00:00"}
