The Declaration for the Right to Libraries, which was made by American Library Association leaded by its president, Barbara Stripling, says `Libraries change lives.' Public libraries in the United States have walked close together with their local communities, individuals, groups, and organizations. For examples, they have given homework helps, job helps, citizenship classes, community references. There are lots of differences between U. S. public libraries and Japanese ones. Among them, U. S. public librarians have their own faces individually from users' view, but Japanese library staffs are covered under their organization, and have no names and no faces from users' view. In addition, many public libraries in Japanese society are managed by private companies, and the number has grown big recently. Takeo City Library in Saga prefecture is so famous for the fact that that is managed by a personal data using company, CCC, and has a Starbucks coffee shop at the center of its floor.
